I was looking for a compass app for my PlayBook and happened to get an email from Skylabs about their updated Compass Pro app. Their Compass Pro app is available both for the PlayBook and BlackBerry smartphones but the native compass on my Bold 9900 does fine. On the other hand Skylabs Compass Pro looks absolutely beautiful on my PlayBoook. Their new update adds 6 different compass skins from pirate antique to modern white and silver for the PlayBook. It also offers up full 3D viewing for the compass which is really slick.

After installing OS 2.1, noted older Compass Pro was wiggling slightly, but not really working. Same for in car with both BT to my Torch 9850 and WiFi to my Verizon Jet Pack. Deleted Compass PRO and during the reinstall noted slick new graphics. BUT: not convinced new one is working. PLUS: inhouse RIM music app tanks, in both showcase and paused modes. Whoa! With CP deleted, at least music is working. Not too happy about all this.
