I was reading a post on CrackBerry by Kevin which said that Vlingo has finally had a chance to fix the bugs in their application. All thanks to some dedicated fans in the BlackBerry community Vlingo fixed the bug where T-Mobile and Rogers customers could not use the service. I was worried since I was having the same issue on AT&T but when I finally had a chance to install the new version today it worked. Great work Vlingo!
NOTE: Vlingo does not seem to have been able to completely fix the application for all carriers/devices. For example, in the FAQ the solution for the WiFi problem on T-Mobile is to just turn WiFi off. Make sure to let them know if you are having any problems to that they are aware of the issue.
I love the interface of the application and they seem to have a good idea going especially for a free service. The problem is that Vlingo is just too slow over EDGE to actually be useful. Hopefully with the Bold/3G right around the corner that wont be a problem anymore.
I am glad to see that Vlingo is dedicated to supporting their users. I hope they stick around because the Vlingo solution looks promising. They supposedly still have some tricks up their sleeve with upcoming features. I cant wait!
Vlingo is asking that you uninstall the previous version before you install this updated version. I guess Vlingo is still learning the BlackBerry development quirks. Make sure to check out the FAQ will help you troubleshoot any issues you may have after the upgrade.
Pick up the new version from www.vlingo.com or m.vlingo.com

Any Company should take enough time to develop applications to its level best. Most of the times, users do not wait for refinements or updates.
