The MiniMoni Traffic Monitor application that we have been mentioning over and over has finally released version 1.0. The biggest announcement is that the software will remain free but the developer is asking kindly for donations. Another big fix is that the code is now signed so the application can automatically start when you boot your BlackBerry. They have also added an Italian translation (Thanks to BlackBerryItalia.it) and revamped the MiniMoni website with more screenshots and information.
For those of you who have to keep an eye on data usage this is great news. So far the application only supports OS 4.2 devices but the author has promised to bring an OS 4.1 version soon. You can check out the MiniMoni roadmap here if you are interested. (Click on the ToDo tab)
From the latest changelog:
1.00.0 - 04.01.2008 - I decided to go final! 0.50.2 - 04.01.2008 - Included Italian language version. Thanks to blackberryitalia.it community - Expiration date is gone! - Web site relaunched with a donation part. The decision is to keep this software free and to give the people the opportunity to make donation if and only if they want! - Two buttons on the about page Compose a mail to [email protected] for support questions Reach the OTA installation site to check for new versions 0.50.0 - 03.01.2008 - As the code is signed now the application does auto start. - No more annoying question about the access to local resources (SD) - Some fixes in the code due to deprecated functions (for that I needed the signed code as well)
