RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis treated her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to a royal tour of the headquarters of RIM in Waterloo yesterday. The tour was nice and short at only half an hour which supposedly is the time it takes to assemble a BlackBerry. The National Post quoted David Yach, RIM’s CTO for Software, saying that “The Royal Family uses BlackBerrys” which is pretty impressive.
Now for the big question. Which BlackBerry did the Queen walk away with? Mike Lazaridis presented her with a white BlackBerry Bold 9700. I guess they need to name it the Royally Bold 9700.

Cheapstakes! 🙂
Why no give her the 9800? They’re already manufactured and waiting to ship… (ok the early OS’s maybe in beta stage – nevertheless)
