Well the day has finally come for AT&T to update the OS on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360. They have released OS 7.1.0.694 for both devices just like they did for the Torch line earlier in the week. No word on what is new but definitely worth checking out.
You can find OS 7.1.0.694 for the Bold 9900 & Curve 9360 at BlackBerry.com
Warning: This OS will NOT install on any other BlackBerry besides the one mentioned above. If you do not know how to upgrade your BlackBerry OS please start by reading this step by step guide. Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device. Don’t forget our usual warnings: do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable.

the time it took for ATT to approve RIM’s flagship phone’s 7.1 update clearly shows how the RIM-Carrier-Customer axis is broken at the moment….

It’s not only AT&T , VZW is just as slow,if not slower. My Storm 2, I could go to RIM and get the latest update there. I don’t see that option on 7.1. for my 9850.
