We told you earlier that Danilo from the WordPress for BlackBerry team shared the upcoming features for WordPress v1.6. Now he has followed up with the release of WordPress for BlackBerry v1.6 beta for all of us to play with. This new version has an updated user interface along with some nice new features. You can find the download links below but here is what Danilo wants us all to be testing in this beta:
- Are all of your blogs still in the app if you upgraded?
- Try to post a quick photo.
- If you have a WordPress.com blog in the app, try out the new Read function. Change filters, like some posts, view Freshly Pressed, and more.
- Try the new File Picker, is it fast? Responsive? (It now sort files by last-modification date.)
- The Posts/Pages/Comments lists now have infinite loading. Check to make sure it keeps loading your content.
- Is the new Dashboard rendered like it should? See example.

To me a wordpress app on a smartphone is worthless. You cannot type effectively on a 4″ screen. For tablet it might work well but not suitable for a phone
