BlackBerry WebWorks Development and MLB Sample App

With all the details we have shared about WebWorks I thought I would share what RIM showed about the new WebWorks platform. Personally I think the reason this has a chance where Widgets did not is because the Torch team seems to be behind this new development environment. Hopefully this will take off really soon!

I personally am very excited because of the JavaScript frameworks that are coming to WebWorks since that will make development much easier. This includes Sencha, PhoneGap, jQuery and Dojo and quite a bit more that you can read about at this link on BlackBerry.com. They also showed off a cool MLB app that may come out built on the new WebWorks platform.

  1. I’m “SO” excited that I was able to follow the steps to start my BB Curve 8520 in safe mode and get the ColorID program off …. saved me a deductible and lots of $$$ from buying a brand new phone. I will always know how to reset…TY!

    1) Take battery out,
    2) Replace battery
    3) When red light goes off press and hold the key to the right of your track ball and beside your read “on” key (looks like a side way “u”).
    4) Remember this process could take up to “10” minutes, so get ready to get your thumb print indented….
