Google Maps for Mobile Tops 100 Million Users a Month!

Talk about a super app! Google announced over the weekend that Google Maps for Mobile is now used by over 100 million users a month across all mobile platforms. That is a crazy high number even considering the fact that Android and iPhone devices have it preloaded.

Google decided to have some fun and show you what Google Maps looked like in 2005…

The thing that always bothered me is that RIM and Google have some sort of odd relationship. Some of the best BlackBerry apps out there are created by Google yet RIM has yet to ever highlight a Google made application. I realize Google owns Android but even before Android it was more or less the same story…

BTW if you don’t already use Google Maps for BlackBerry you can pick it up at m.google.com/maps
