Stylish Zebra & Pink by Ale7714 Designs
I often peruse our Berryreview Theme Store to see what’s new in the way of themes. In my searches I continually come upon two theme designers who’s themes I have been wanting to try. One is ALe7714 who’s latest Stylish Zebra & Pink theme caught my eye…the other is KiplingMerah in which I tested their Peace Sign theme. I’ve seen lots of themes by KiplingMerah and honestly wasn’t too impressed with the screen shots. In comparing the two, I found Ale7714’s theme much, much more well made and the price of $3.95 much better than KiplingMerah’s expensive, and IMO not worth it price of $5.99.
Stylish Zebra was clean, had nice transitions and overall well put together. Quality of images and icons were very good and the theme worked very nicely for me. I liked how the designer tried to make everything easy to read while keeping the layout attractive at the same time. It’s a classic styled theme, simple (which I like) but well made and worth the price. Especially since the theme is on sale for $1.94 until today (7/21)!
Peace Sign had icons that, though were cute, were choppy and too big for the theme. I can appreciate creativity but not at the expense of neatness. I’m very surprised that the designer is charging $5.99 for such a theme. I do realize the work that goes into making any theme, and I know that some theme designers can afford to sell their themes at cheaper prices while others may be making a living off their skills…so it’s difficult to truly compare. However, if you’re gonna charge $5.99 for a theme…make it worth the cost.
