BerryWeather 2.0 Released! Current Weather As Your Background

BerryWeather2 James let us know that BerryWeather has been updated to version 2.0. You will need to uninstall the previous version to install the new version but there are quite a few new additions that really make BerryWeather stand out. I am really digging the fact that on OS 4.7 plus you can have the current weather show up in your wallpaper.

You can find the new version of BerryWeather at this link in the store for $9.95

    • Get more accurate current conditions by switching to a nearby weather stations for any location
  • Visual:
    • New high resolution iconset
    • See your current weather as a homescreen wallpaper, includes many customization options (OS 4.7 and higher)
    • Full support for OS 5.0 screen transitions
  • Weather Advisories:
    • Get notifications only for specific advisories
    • Support for BerryPopup, get a popup with advisory details in any app
  • Radar Maps/Webcam:
    • Now you can use multiple custom radar maps/webcams
    • Pinch-to-zoom radar maps on any touchscreen BlackBerry

  1. I upgraded last week and love the new app! Very nice improvements indeed! Still the best weather app for BlackBerry.

  2. Just bought the app in Aug for $10
Now they want $4 more to upgrade…

  3. On my 9700 I turned on an option to show the temp in the alerts area. So now at the top of my screen I can always see what the temp/condition is!

  4. How about a giveaway of this?

  5. I’ve had this app for a while, re purchased it and got the upgrade for free…

But, sidenote, I’ve seen a lot of reviews say that there is a way to set this as your wallpaper.

Is this for the Storm only? I have the Bold 9700 and I have yet to find out a way to set it as my wallpaper.

    Just curious.

  6. If you purchased BerryWeather from RIM’s AppWorld and you’re within the Oct 16 cutoff for a free upgrad…you still can’t do it. Thanks, RIM…another reason to not use App World.

  7. If you’re running 5.0+ you need that version. Uninstall the version you have and go to Berry Weather’s site. I don’t have the correct site, but download the version for 5.0 and the wallpaper option will show up for you. That’s how I got mine working.

  8. Here’s the correct site to download:

Use the activation code you got when you bought the app.

  9. Just bought this app, fantastic.

I was used to using Weather Eye from The Weather Network, but there is NO comparison once using this.

    Highly recommended!
