James let us know that BerryWeather has been updated to version 2.0. You will need to uninstall the previous version to install the new version but there are quite a few new additions that really make BerryWeather stand out. I am really digging the fact that on OS 4.7 plus you can have the current weather show up in your wallpaper.

On my 9700 I turned on an option to show the temp in the alerts area. So now at the top of my screen I can always see what the temp/condition is!

I’ve had this app for a while, re purchased it and got the upgrade for free…
But, sidenote, I’ve seen a lot of reviews say that there is a way to set this as your wallpaper.
Is this for the Storm only? I have the Bold 9700 and I have yet to find out a way to set it as my wallpaper.
Just curious.

If you purchased BerryWeather from RIM’s AppWorld and you’re within the Oct 16 cutoff for a free upgrad…you still can’t do it. Thanks, RIM…another reason to not use App World.

If you’re running 5.0+ you need that version. Uninstall the version you have and go to Berry Weather’s site. I don’t have the correct site, but download the version for 5.0 and the wallpaper option will show up for you. That’s how I got mine working.

Just bought this app, fantastic.
I was used to using Weather Eye from The Weather Network, but there is NO comparison once using this.
Highly recommended!
