One of the things that always bothered me about web hosting companies is that their control panels were never mobile friendly. Ever tried loading Plesk, DirectAdmin, or Cpanel on your BlackBerry? It just never works. I am glad to see that SingleHop, a pretty large hosting company, just announced that their web hosting control panel is now BlackBerry compatible. From your BlackBerry you can now:
- Manage various aspects of your server, including rebooting, viewing graphs, and hardware details on the run.
- Reboot Servers
- View bandwidth graphs
- View hardware details
- On the go, you can submit tickets, priority tickets, manage existing tickets and more through an intuitive interface.
- Get FREE priority tickets when you use your iPhone to submit them!
- Making access easy, through the billing section you can view invoices, as well as pay upcoming bills.
- View previous invoices
- Pay invoices
- Submit billing questions
I am not sure if SingleHop hosting is any good or if you should use them but I have to give them credit for being the first. I usually have to SSH into the BerryReview server to fix issues since the control panel does not work from my BlackBerry. Here is to hoping this trend will take off!

Ron, we thought the very same thing. Why limit control over your servers to just a PC? We designed our web-portal to be as robust as our LEAP web-desktop platform (yes it does look like a windows desktop) but accessible from your phone. Not only did we know our clients would like it. We wanted to have that option ourselves!!!
We are excited about this new product. Do feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
