During these sometimes depressing economic times, it’s hard to find a positive announcement from a mobile phone manufacturer. On Monday, RIM let it be known that they are still recruiting 3,000 new employees due to BlackBerry growth. No word on where those employees will be hired, but this is good news compared to Motorola, Sony Ericsson & other phone manufacturers drastically cutting their head count.
In 2008, RIM hired 4,000 new employees and they don’t look like they are stopping. If you are interested in a career at RIM, check out their job listings at: www.rim.com/careers/

Maybe a couple of those 3000 could actually produce some long overdue bug fixes for the OS? Great hardware released the past year or so RIM, but the OS needs serious help.
