While I was sleeping soundly in my bed a kindly tipster, AKA Payroll, sent me a link to OS 4.6.0.228. Since I just work up I canβt honestly tell you what is new in this version but I am sure you can check it out for yourself while slowly down my morning Java.
UPDATE 2: Rapidshare link available
UPDATE: I just spotted the same download link posted by Kevin @ CrackBerry with some great discussion going on in the forums. Not sure where it originated.
Let us know what you find in the new OS versions in the comments below. Keep the tips coming!
NOTE: Do not install this software if you do not know what you are doing. It may make your BlackBerry FUBAR or just plain angry.

no voicemail notification icon bug and wallpaper reset bug after battery pull are both still present. Not sure what else, but these are the two things I noticed right away.

I noticed that several carrier themes are included which is a good sign. I’ve learned that this could actually be declared as official without any changes, just as .216 did. I’ve noticed a very stable browser experience, increased performance and better batter life

The SMS have a 70 character limit in this version! This is bad, the normal is 140
