We mentioned TouchUp Pro previously by esDot Dev Studios as a solid photo editor for the PlayBook. Devin pointed out to us that there is also a TouchUp Lite version that is free giving you basic photo editing capabilities before you upgrade to the Pro version. This is a similar concept to what esDot has done with their ColorUp Pro & Lite versions. Since I was curious I reached out to Shawn from esDot about the differences between the Lite and Pro versions and this is how it breaks down:
TouchUp Lite offers a simple Photo Editor, free to all Playbook Users. Features include: | For user’s who would like to do more, TouchUp Pro offers everything in the Lite version with the addition of a number of 1-click filters, including: |
* Load pictures from Camera or Library * Red Eye Removal * Pimple / Blemish Removal) * Contrast / Brightness * Hue / Saturation * Rotation / Flip * Cropping * Resize on Save * Supports HD resolutions * Unlimited Undo / Redo |
* Auto-Contrast As well as some advanced effects: * Advanced Vignette |
You can pick up the free TouchUp Lite in App World. The TouchUp Pro premium version is also available for $2.99 for those of you who want the extra control. Kudos to esDot for clarifying the differences!
