RIMM Officially Changing to BBRY & BB Stock Symbols on Monday

RIM made the announcement earlier this week that they are changing their companies name to BlackBerry. The legal name will not change until shareholders vote at the Annual General meeting later this year. Until then BlackBerry will change their stock symbol on NASDAQ to “BBRY” and on the Toronto Stock Exchange to “BB.”

Research In Motion Ticker Change to Take Effect Monday, February 4

WATERLOO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – Feb. 4, 2013) – Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM)(TSX:RIM) confirms that, effective the start of trading on Monday, February 4, 2013, the Company’s new ticker symbols will take effect. The company will trade as “BB” on the Toronto Stock Exchange and “BBRY” on the NASDAQ.

The legal name of the company is not changing and the Company will do business as BlackBerry until shareholders vote for the official change at the Company’s Annual General Meeting later this year.
