RIM has been kind enough to share the URL for the BlackBerry 10 Launch Event Webcast before the event. The launch will be happening simultaneously in New York, Toronto, London, Paris, Dubai, Johannesburg, Jakarta and Delhi. The best part is that you can get in on the action by watching it live in the RIM newsroom. It will be available when it starts on January 30 at 10:00am EST. Below is the announcement:

Is BBX coming with Skype or not? It will be very disappointing for those who use the video communication to communicate with other people if BBX doesn’t have Skype

According to all the news releases. Blackberry 10 has been in talks with skype and netflix. Netflix was quoted ” we did not see any reason for supporting the previous blackberry models but have now been looking at the new well supported Blackberry 10″
Thorsten Heins did not give any solid answers to any of this. I think this is because he needs to save a lot of this big news for his big release tomorrow (Wednesday). Personally if RIM wants to compete with Samsung and Apple they HAVE TO HAVE BASIC SERVICES like NETFLIX and SKYPE. If they do not have this they shouldn’t even bother releasing the blackberry 10.

This is the most exciting day since Apple Released the iphone! Nothing more exiting than a huge comeback. Yes, all the analysts are saying that Blackberry has a slim chance, but every single one of these analysts also thought that RIM’s shares would be at $1.00 or go bankrupt. The Shares have tripled and has maintained it’s price for a good time. When it was at $18.00, that was nothing but the nay sayers riding on the Levono buy out news and then pulling out once they found out it was just a rumor.
Once the release has happened, the Superbowl ad is shown, both phones are released, then finally proof that blackberry 10 sales are way up….then you will see a solid incline in share prices which will not go down again. Once the 2nd quarter financials are released that is when you will either have a new decline or a rapid incline again into territory which RIM has not seen in a long long time.
This is a very fun epic time to be watching all of this unravel!

I am completely jazzed about this release, the excitement around it, and getting my hands on my new BB10. I believe the world cannot do without a device like the Blackberry for it’s advanced business functionality, security, stability and Mil-spec hardware.
Rumours of RIM’s demise are highly exaggerated, and undoubtedly mostly due to the media, not the least of which has been our own Canadian media (disgraceful) who have needed a reliable “bad news” story on slow news days.
