In case you missed it Mr Number is a free call and text message blocking app along with stopping telemarketers and spam calls. They just let us know they have added status support in the latest version of the app. What that means is you can now share with the 2 million other Mr Number users when you are free for a call, when you would rather text, or when they should bugger off. The app will automatically route your calls to voicemail in the last case and your friends will know why you didn’t answer. They can even be alerted for when you come back online.
This new feature in Mr Number is more of a chicken and egg problem where they need to get people to use it for it to catch on. Especially since you can already do something similar with BBM, Google Talk, and other chat apps. On the other hand Mr Number is cross platform on BlackBerry, iOS, and Android.
