Many of us are wondering when RIM will finally get around to releasing BlackBerry Protect to all users. I am not sure what is taking them so long but I am really excited. I want every BlackBerry user to be protected from catastrophic data loss and I think BlackBerry Protect is RIM’s way to do that.
We now have more proof that BlackBerry Protect is coming soon. One of our sources sent us screenshots of the BIS Administration interface which has now added a tab for BlackBerry Protect. My guess is that RIM plans on letting carriers backup and restore your device from the portal to better help customers.
I really can’t wait for RIM to release BlackBerry Protect. I think it will make a huge splash since it closes the data backup loop for most consumers.
