CallSpark – Trying to Provide an Alternative to 411

callspark Tashanna let me know about CallSpark that was recently announced at the DEMOfall 09 conference. This service lets you search across multiple sites for a contact. For example, right now they let you search across Facebook, Salesforce.com, Twitter, White Pages, Yellow Pages, Yelp, Gmail contacts and more properties to find the information you need. Check it out at this link.

Right now the service is regulated to a mobile website and a iPhone client coming soon but I think the idea has huge potential! I now have about 5 email addresses and data stores that store my contacts ranging from Gmail to Google apps to Exchange making it really hard to find a contact that I need from one place. I would love if somebody came up with an app that could query multiple data sources like Gmail, Exchange, Facebook, LinkedIn and other sources to find the contact information I need.

What do you think? Anybody know of a service that does such a thing?
