Antair let me know about their latest product rightfully called the Antair E-Mail Auto-Responder. It pretty much does what it says but it has some interesting options that make it stand out. It essentially lets you set rules for who gets a canned message when you receive an email.
At first I thought this was pretty cool until I saw the $29.95 price tag. Personally I would not pay $29.95 for an application that practically duplicates what I can do with a custom Outlook rule for free… On the other hand one of you could have been looking for this exact solution so I thought it was worth mentioning. I guess it may be worth a premium to be able to set such rules from your BlackBerry instead of your computer.
They do have a free trial of Antair E-Mail Auto-Responder and you can pick it up in the store at this link.
Free alternative if you have Outlook or Exchange email:
If you feel like doing this yourself on the cheap you can setup custom response rules in Outlook using the directions Microsoft details at this link. Those instructions are for Outlook 2000 on a Exchange server but it is more or less the same idea for Non-Exchange users with one exception. If you have Exchange then you do not need to keep Outlook open for the rule to run since it will run on the server. If you do not have Exchange then you will need to leave Outlook running for it to work.
