I was never much of a crosswords person but since Bplay sent me a copy of the game over I have to say I am impressed. It has been awhile since they released a game that was intellectually challenging and easy to pause. The cool part is that the game makes great use of the BlackBerrys always on internet connection by letting you download and save every days crossword puzzle. I have to admit that I am not a crossword buff so some of these are clues are WAY to hard for me but its was really fun when I finished my first board.
Sadly the game is a subscription model so you pay $2.99 a month for as long as you keep the game with no free trial. On the other hand you actually do get something for your subscription. They give you access to 4,000 archived puzzles, 30 classic puzzles, and the daily puzzle from the NYT. That should be enough to keep the content fresh. I also love how it gives you access to clues and hints to help you along.
You can pick it up at Bplay’s site for $2.99/month at this link. Keep in mind the subscription is tied to your phone number so you need to sign up with your correct number.
