Hedone Design has just released their latest Blackberry Bold theme called, Inside. It’s called ‘Inside’ because on the main screen it features an animated simulation of the inside runnings of a watch. This might be hard to tell without seeing a video but the two wheels move in a continuous circular fashion so it feels like you are seeing the inner workings of your Berry. There are only 3 icons on the home screen but they are customizable and if you choose for example; the calendar icon as one of them…your list of calendar entries will show up underneath as you scroll over that icon. The home screen image has a textured leather feel and the Blackberry logo is present at the bottom right in an almost ‘impressed’ fashion. The thing I like about the icons is that they are white in a gray box but when you highlight them, the background turns into a light gray ‘brushed metal’.
As I mentioned before, Hedone’s themes get better with each design and though some might think the price of $7.00 is a bit hefty for a theme, this one may be worth it for several reasons. One is that even with the animation, it doesn’t seem to lag as you move about. Another reason is that this is a rich, classic design that you’d probably keep on your Bold for awhile. It looks especially good on my Bold but according to Hedone’s website, it’ll soon be available for the Curve and Pearl Blackberry devices too. For more info, or to purchase…go to Hedone Design.
