I just noticed that my favorite earbud company, Shure, has a line of earbuds that are designed for mobile devices. They have three versions of the headphones in the mobile friendly I Series which are comparable to their other earbud lines. Each of them has the option to only have a 2.5mm jack or both a 2.5mm and a 3.5mm jack. Personally I think this is a brilliant idea since it takes out the loss of audio quality inherent in the adapters for the 8800 and 8100 devices. Keep in mind that this will all change when the new line of devices are released that have native 3.5mm jacks like the 8300. It makes me wish I had the money to try out a pair of these suckers but at a starting price of $129 for the low end and $209 for the middle of the line it is a very pricey investment. If you are a fan of Shure headphones you will appreciate that they have added in line audio control with a built in microphone. If you have the cash to spare I would highly recommend that you check out a pair of Shure headphones. I have been using the Shure e3g headphones for over 2 years now and they are rock solid and have amazing audio quality. They even stay in your ears while your running on the treadmill =)
