Agendus 2.0 Released: Improved Storm Support & More

storm_swipe_one_day Agendus recently came to the BlackBerry OS and has been pretty popular. Many people remember using it from previous devices before BlackBerrys. They just released version 2.0 of their application and it has some pretty notable improvements:

Highlights from the change log:

  • All New Storm Toolbar: new toolbar provides easy access to the most common view-specific menu actions
  • Gestures On The Storm: swipe the screen in any calendar view to change the date
  • Panning On The Storm: for views that are vertically scrollable, just touch/hold and pan up or down to view the list
  • Overhauled One-Day View: now with 1/2 hour increments, time bars and better overall layout of events, providing a more pleasing and easier-to-navigate view
  • New Standard List View: provides a list view much like the Week List View, but with the addition of a powerful date filter to maximize visible records
  • Memos Integration and Related View: completing the integration of all four native PIM applications, with the added bonus of being able to associate a contact with the memo
  • Native Photo Support for Contacts: displays contact photo in the Expanded Mode as well as on the new Card Views (even on Meetings and Tasks) and in the Contact Edit dialogs
  • Contact History: provides a comprehensive history of activities involving your contacts
  • Power Search Local: searching for and finding data is made simple with this robust utility

If you are interested you can pick up the trial or the full application for $19.95 at this link. The main downside of this upgrade is the upgrade policy for those who purchased version 1. From their website:

Upgrading to Agendus for BlackBerry 2 is FREE for all the owners of version 1 which have purchased the product on or after June 1st, 2009. Customers who purchased the product before June 1st, 2009 are eligible to upgrade to version 2 for $9.95.

That is not a very friendly upgrade policy…
