BlackBerry Partner Fund Invests In 3 More Companies
October 30th, 2008 by Ronen Halevy
The BlackBerry Partner Fund seems to be alive and kicking. They just announced that they have helped fund 3 more BlackBerry ventures. None of them are new companies but they sure do show promise!
The latest three are:
- Buzzd – a location aware guide and social site – $3.2 million in a Series A Preferred Stock financing with BlackBerry Partners Fund, Greycroft Partners, Monitor Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures.
- Digby – a mobile commerce service provider - $5.5 million Series B Preferred Stock with the BBPF and existing investors.
- WorldMate – a travel and trip management company with travel information – $8 million in a Series C Preferred Stock financing with BBPF, Motorola, and AMC Communications.
I can’t wait to see what they accomplish with the extra cash inflow…
Thanks to everybody for sending this one in!
