BlackBerry Bold OS Officially Released By Optus…

Just got this tip from Monyet. It’s interesting to see that the BlackBerry Bold OS was just officially released by Optus. Does that mean that Optus is releasing the Bold forthwith?

  1. Man! It would be sweet if we were able to upgrade to this os for our curves.

  2. I bet somebody will try it.

3.’ll be really funny if it works too…lol

  4. I just might try it. I’m getting an iPhone 3G this weekend anyway…

  5. Somebody with a test unit or Curve they use as a secondary phone test this puppy out for us…

I’m tempted, but am using mine as my primary device… SCARED to death… hehehe

  6. I tried to install OS 4.6 on my curve 8310, but it didn’t work. The desktop manager just says that “there are no updates compatible with your device.” I guess it’s idiot proof.

  7. I’m guessing it would take some editing in Notepad to get DM to see it as something for the Curve. My only concern would be memory – the Bold has much more than the Curve – would you even be able to do anything else with 4.6 loaded onto a Curve?

  8. I thought about the memory issue too. I guess I’ll just have to try it to see if it works. My iPhone 3G will get here on Wednesday, so my Curve is disposable. 😀

  9. Just tried editing the file in TextEdit (the Mac equivalent of Notepad) and nothing happened, besides Windows saying the file was corrupted when I tried to install it. I guess it’s throughly idiot and genius proof.

  10. I am to try Installation software Blackberry Bold but i have Any problem this text view Error reading setup initialization file… this file I was download with the size 50.2 MB must be in text 97.2..MB how this problem ?….
