Conjola Sync – Free Gmail Contacts Sync Coming Soon???
Josep sent me a link to a thread on CrackBerry Forums that looks quite promising. Turns out that Staino is working on a opensource solution to sync your contacts on your BlackBerry with your Gmail contacts.
The goals of the project are:
- Open source – free to use
- 2 way sync with Gmail contacts and blackberry address book
- “Over the air” solution – no need to hook up to USB
The developer is speculating that a Beta should be available next week. This could be really great for users who have been looking for a more BES-like experience from their BlackBerry. Combined with Google’s official Calendar Sync tool this could be a good solution.
I would recommend keeping an eye on this thread. It also cant hurt to leave a comment there telling the developer that you are interested…
