Tashanna let me know about a thread started by Tennispro4Ever mentioning a quiet update to version 2.0.49 for Slacker. The latest version on the App World is 2.0.12 which we mentioned before but if you head directly to www.slacker.com from your BlackBerry or to this link from your desktop you will get a later version.
No official word on what’s new in this version but it is now about 1.6Mb download which is a whopping size for an app. The thread mentions that there are now visual ads kind of like Pandora which you can skip through. There are supposedly some performance and visual upgrades too.

Slacker on BB started as a piece of bugbloatware with potential. They continued to improve it to the point where they have realized that potential. It is, by far, the greatest funware app to have on your BB. Thank you, Slacker devs. I stand here blinded by your pure awsomeness.
