BlackBerry seems to have heard vendor complaints about the dated BlackBerry World Vendor Portal. They have confirmed that they are doing something about it very soon by announcing that a new portal is coming soon. They confirmed that there is currently a beta program going on with invites still being sent out. They are looking for feedback to improve so let them know if you want to try to get in on the beta.
Here are the key improvement areas:
- Improved experience – New look and feel
- Promotion Codes – Created and managed by you!
- Enhancements to the application submission process
- Simplified management of screenshots and images
- And so much more!
They have also changed the corporate name from RIM to BlackBerry and transitioned from Digital River to BlackBerry Commerce. Here is to hoping that the upgrade is soon and seamless!
