It seems like BlackBerry’s BBM team is really spreading wide and far. They just announced a partnership with the BBC in Nigeria to deliver news from their Hausa service to users in Nigeria with five news alerts a day. According to HumanIPO this is being done to bring the stories directly to users where they can comment and share. This seems to all be running on BBM Channels from what I can tell and is capitalizing on BlackBerry’s large userbase that still exists in the country on BBM.
