One of the features I have been waiting for BlackBerry to implement on BlackBerry 10 which I had on BlackBerry OS 5.0 is to resize images before sending them. Every time I take a picture with my BlackBerry Q10 I end up with a 1.1MB image which is a whopper to send via email. This is especially so if you want to send 20 pictures. As I mentioned before BlackBerry offers an amazing built in photo editor but it misses the key function of resizing images even though its a simple API call.
In the latest BlackBerry OS 10.2.1.1055 leak there is a new option in the hub to “prompt for image resize.” I have tried every possible way of attaching a picture to see if it would give me the prompt but I have been unsuccessful. Hopefully this feature means what I think it does and BlackBerry will add it soon!
