I didn’t even know this was possible but Dmytro Mishchenko let us know about his new PlayBook app that monitors network activity. The app is called Network Monitor and shows you real time network activity on your PlayBook showing you what systems and countries applications are communicating with. I am not sure what you would use this for but still it is pretty cool to see what is going on behind the scenes.
Features include
- Shows established, recently closed connections, and open sockets.
- Resolves servers IP addresses to names.
- Provides Country information.
- Build a graph on network activity displaying sent and received packets.
