Longmilk let us know about their latest creation ControlExtra in our forums. The app simply lets you control your PowerPoint slide presentation using your BlackBerry instead of a mouse. The app works over Bluetooth so the range is about 20 feet give or take. It offers simple controls that let you start the slide show, go to next slide, go to previous slide, or exit the presentation.
I really wish that the app also showed you your PowerPoint speaker notes on your BlackBerry screen but hopefully that will come in a later release. Surprisingly this is more or less a untapped market in both our store and App World with only one or two competitors. There is the BlackBerry Presenter solution but that is quite a bit more expensive than the $4.99 charged for ControlExtra.
