Sprint Releases 3G/4G USB Modem 250U from Sierra Wireless

sierra Wireless 250U Sprint has been putting up a strong front with their 4G WiMax rollout. David just pointed out that they have brought 4G live in NYC somewhat and its working nicely in other cities. They just released a new 3G/4G capable modem 250U from Sierra Wireless for users to take advantage of the 4G speeds.

The device uses Sprint’s 4G network when available and then falls back on their 3G network and works on both Mac & Windows PCs. They put a 5GB cap on the 3G use but the 4G use is still unlimited. The device is free after $50 in mail in rebates if you sign a new 2 year contract. They claim that the device is nice and compact and its round design rotates 180 degrees to fit better into laptop USB ports.
