CES: Monster Cable Press Conference

Last Thursday @ CES was a busy day for Monster Cable.  Headmonster Noel Lee and Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Jimmy Iovine introduced new headphones supporting Bono’s Project RED. Dr Dre and Lady Gaga later this year will be releasing (PRODUCT)RED™ Special Edition Beats Solo Headphone by Dre and Red Lady Heartbeats. Five dollars from each sale will go to  supportAIDS programs in Africa.

Later that day at the Empire Suite in the Paris Hotel Noel Lee and Jimmy Iovine along with Dr Dre and Sean “Diddy” Combs unveiled  more new headphones. Dr Dre came out with DJ Spins, a great new headphone designed for DJs. It seems Monster really took some notes and designed these puppies to keep up with the needs of deejays.  They feature a spin of the ear piece so that you can DJ and listen. In addition there is an input on both sides so the wire is not in the way, or like Noel Lee said you can plug in another pair of headphones and “daisy chain” them (so you can hear the same music on both headphones). Diddy unveiled his Diddy Beats which have a great sound, look and feel to them. These ear-bud style headphones were personally co-designed by Mr. Combs. They are leather wrapped and as Diddy said he ‘likes they way they feel coming out of your pocket.’ DiddyBeats comes in Black, Pink, and Diddy’s favorite color White.

Monster Cable was founded in 1979 by then engineer and audiophile Mr. Noel Lee who discovered that wires of different constructions produced varying degrees of audio performance. He designed a new super cable that brought his loudspeakers to life, invented the concept and brand “Monster Cable” and created a whole new industry. Today Monster is synonimous with quality, style and the utmost in performance.

BerryReview recently reviewed Beats by Dr Dre headphones and we loved the way they felt and sounded playing beats from our BlackBerry phones. Stay tuned for more news and reviews on BlackBerry and Monster products.
