BlackBerry Alliance Program EMEA Innovation Awards

emea-alliance-summit While I was recovering from turkey day RIM was busy handing out Awards at the 2009 BlackBerry EMEA Alliance Summit in Rome, Italy. This is the second time that RIM has run this awards show and it once again showcased mobile applications in the EMEA region. Kevin over @CrackBerry was on site for the awards and you can read a little about his experiences at this link.

RIM was kind enough to post the winners of the awards on their blog and you can find them after the jump. Poynt ad 7Digital took away two of the prizes while the others do not seem as consumer oriented except for Nimbuzz which I don’t recall being as popular stateside.

On a side note another BlackBerry app called Abyss won Verizon’s “Apply Your Ideas” contest grand prize. Congrats to Mobigloo on the win!
