HOT! Screenshots of Mac Desktop Manager – Coming Soon!

blackberry-desktop-manager-mac-1 Andrey from the Official RIM BlackBerry Insider Blog has broken the first bit of news to ever be released on the RIM blog. (Kudos Andrey!) He released some screenshots of a internal build of the upcoming BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac!

I cannot say how amazed I am that this is FINALLY happening!

Key features include:

  • Sync your iTunes® playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks
  • Add/Remove applications
  • Update your device when new software becomes available
  • Backup and restore your device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups and optional encryption (security is #1 as always…)
  • Manage multiple devices
  • And it will support Mac® OS 10.5.5 and above.

  1. It’s about time!

  2. F-word.
How hard can it be to support 10.4?
It’s only a yea or two out of date.

  3. Erm, since when did anything from RIM actually get released “really soon?” Just saying, probably not a good idea to get your hopes up. As usual, expect delays from RIM.

  4. Agreed, finally!!!! Why it took so long is beyond me and I do hope it’ll be a free app like the windows version. PocketMac works, but its a dated program. Can’t wait for the release and pray the bugs and fixes required thereafter are minimal.
