Andrey from the Official RIM BlackBerry Insider Blog has broken the first bit of news to ever be released on the RIM blog. (Kudos Andrey!) He released some screenshots of a internal build of the upcoming BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac!
I cannot say how amazed I am that this is FINALLY happening!
Key features include:
- Sync your iTunes® playlists, calendars, contacts, notes and tasks
- Add/Remove applications
- Update your device when new software becomes available
- Backup and restore your device data with such features like automatically scheduled backups and optional encryption (security is #1 as always…)
- Manage multiple devices
- And it will support Mac® OS 10.5.5 and above.

F-word.
How hard can it be to support 10.4?
It’s only a yea or two out of date.

Erm, since when did anything from RIM actually get released “really soon?” Just saying, probably not a good idea to get your hopes up. As usual, expect delays from RIM.

Agreed, finally!!!! Why it took so long is beyond me and I do hope it’ll be a free app like the windows version. PocketMac works, but its a dated program. Can’t wait for the release and pray the bugs and fixes required thereafter are minimal.
