AP News Mobile App is now Free Again???
AP News has a slick application that they developed in conjunction with FreeRange. It originally started as a free application but when it launched in the App World (version .4) it suddenly got a $2.99 annual subscription fee and contained advertisements. When that happened they announced that if you already had the free version (.3) it would only be supported for another 6 months. Users were scrambling to find a free replacement but it looks like the AP and FreeRange got the picture.
As of my writing this the AP News application is now listed as free again in the App World. Not sure what that means to people who already paid the subscription fee but I installed it and it does not ask you to pay anymore. You can find it in the App World by searching for AP News or you should be able to also pick it up by heading to www.apnews.com from your BlackBerry’s browser.
Thanks to AdamG for filling me in on the update! Let me know if you figure out any more details.
