Rumor: RIM to Launch Full-Length TV Service For BlackBerry?

blackberryvideo Now this is something I would like to see on my BlackBerry. NewTeeVee found from a few sources that RIM may be launching a TV service for BlackBerry. It would let you pay for an unlimited monthly subscription service to watch TV. The shows will be downloaded over Wi-Fi and will have licensed content from multiple broadcast and cable networks. I am thinking Hulu content on my BlackBerry… :)

Anybody else looking forward to this? I just wish it would also let you stream the shows over 3G since sometimes I am really bored at the doctors office. Or maybe they could just find a way to stream Hulu on the BlackBerry like YouTube.

Seems like a nice feature that they should roll out. Personally I’d still opt for a Slingbox, since I’m always for a higher upfront cost without a subscription cost (and it’s not BB only).

Also, wifi only is a dealbreaker for me. Most of the time when I would use this I wouldn’t be sitting in an area where i’d necessarily have wifi…
