Verizon Sells A Million Storms… Even With The Bugs
Despite Jim Balsillie saying that buggy OS’s are the way of the future Verizon has some good news to share. They managed to sell a million Storms since they launched the device, which is pretty impressive considering how they have been shipping them with buggy OS versions. The million devices sold just go to show that Blackberry fanboys are interested in touchscreens. I am looking forward to the Bold/Storm touchscreen keyboard hybrid…
They say that the million Storms sold counteracts the “bumpy” start that the WSJ labeled the Storm with. I guess the half a billion dollars in sales (~$500 device sale multiplied by a million sales) will get cut into by the $100 million that they spent on advertising it…
So what do you think of the Storm launch? Was it bumpy? Is it still bumpy?
