FIDO BlackBerry Pearl 8100 Launch Details – Feb 4th
One of our secret agents sent in some info about the upcoming FIDO BlackBerry 8100 launch. He found the info on Howard Forums but I cannot find the thread now. This post on the BoyGenius confirms it.
FIDO is Launching BIS Services along with the Blackberry Pearl 8100 on February 4th.
The Pearl will be priced at:
- $400 MTM / No Contract
- $350 on a 2 Year
- $25 on a 3 year w/ Voice + Data (no minimum monthly total cost required).
The data plans will be:
- $15 – Unlimited Personal Email + IM (BBM, WM, Yahoo, AIM etc…).
- $25 – 500MB BIS Data
- $30 – 1GB BIS Data
- $60 – 3GB BIS Data
No BES will be offered. Only the Pearl 8100 to start. Greymarket (non-Fido) berries are allowed but no support will be given (same as all other non-FIDO Devices). Tethering is allowed. Data plans can be used in non berry phones (although, like Rogers, it’s “frowned upon” and if non berry usage is detected they “can ask you to switch”.
Data is available without contract.
Let us know if you find the thread or more details!
