Weekend Storm Roundup…

This has been another wild week for the Storm. Nothing as crazy as two weeks ago but enough to consolidate into one article.

First of all Kevin spotted a great article compliments of the National Post where they interviewed David Smith, Senior director of handheld product management at RIM, about the confusion about the Storm/Thunder name. Turns out that Storm was the codename and RIM’s marketing department wanted to use it as the launch name which is against RIM’s policy. So they changed the codename to Thunder… Check out the details at the National Post. Glad that is finally settled!

Kevin also spotted a new BlackBerry Storm commercial by Vodaphone that really does not offer much substance but still looks damn cool.

Troy @ BBNews spotted a interesting review by Gary Krakow of TheStreet.com  where he shows off the Storm. Worth checking out at this link for some eye candy.

There are also two chances out there for winning your own BlackBerry Storm. The first is from CrackBerry.com where they are offering TEN BlackBerry Storms. What you need to do is tell them what you would be willing to do for a free BlackBerry Storm, the crazier the better (within legal means). After Halloween they will go through the submissions and contact the top 10. You then have to actually perform what you suggested to win your Storm! Check out the details/rules and submission form here or the announcement.

BlackBerry Cool is also running a promotion to win 2 BlackBerry Storms but you need to be going to their BlackBerry Cool 15 roundup at the BlackBerry Developers Conference. You can read about the contest at this link or learn more about the BlackBerry Cool 15 at the DevCon at this link.

Hopefully that is it. Thanks to everybody for sending these in over the weekend!
