Raffy just let me know that there is a new version of MyPoynt available which is version 0.9.1. They have not pushed it out for automatic update yet but you can get it from m.mypoynt.com
The new feature in this version is support for Google Mobile Maps. It will now let you see one listing at a time on Google Maps. Viewing multiple listings at a time is coming soon.
Once you install the latest version of MyPoynt you will need to go to Options->Map Display and choose your mapping option.
Pretty cool stuff!

Wow I’m really impressed they took feedback that not everyone keeps BB maps installed, and added this option so quick!!

Sorry but have to mention one thing! Now that MyPoynt can use Google Maps, it would be great if for non-GPS BBs MyPoynt could get the Google Maps “My Location” info, rather than just give me “Alert: Your GPS location has not yet been found…”

I am using a T-Mo 8320, and I could not use it because I always got a “communication error” message. My connection setting was to Auto, so I changed it to BIS, and then everything began to work. I guess this is a bug because Auto should work if BIS does.

I am aware there is a “buy movie” tickets feature, but other than that… is there any reason to use Poynt rather than the search feature on google maps? It appears to be the same info.

Kimberly – please make sure you’re changing the setting by clicking on the selection rather than using the space bar to scroll through the options. If you’re still having issues please email our support team at [email protected].
