WorldMagic – World Time Clock

With some of the posts recently posted and our internal conversations within the BerryReview Group (the team spans the globe) regarding time zones, I found myself searching for that one application out there that supports the simple need of just telling me the time in different zones. Even though there are a few applications out there that facilitate this function, it is usually bundled into an application that has more than one use other than telling the time in other time zones.

My search took me to several sites or lack thereof, but I ended up back at software-for-blackberry, which you may know for developing some nifty BlackBerry applications such as CryptMagic. What they have for time zones is called WorldMagic and is a straight to the point app for the BlackBerry that has a simple, uncluttered interface.

WorldMagic shows you the local time in any major city all around the world.

  • New: screensaver option
  • New: additional manual time offset
  • More than 300 predefined locations
  • Weekday and date displayed for each location
  • Includes all time zones from -12 to +14
  • Four independent clocks
  • Automatic detection of 12/24-hour display
  • Automatic Daylight Savings Time calculation
  • Customizable location database
  • Requires just 74 Kbytes of free memory

WorldMagic offers a trial and goes for US$7.95, which their site cart links back to Handango.

  1. OS 4.5 is being released in Orange UK blackberry download site without cost. However, it does not come with chinese input language. Found another one recently at Starhub Singapore download site with Chinese support.

  2. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot it’s still ugly, not as perty as the iphone world clock. I’m wavering on the fence about the iphone, these blackberry apps need to look more now than 1986.

  3. Found what I was looking for, Worldmate Live. http://www.worldmatelive.com/home.php it’s free and it’s pleasing to the eye.

  4. Word to the wise: I have been trying to get. A code from software-for-blackberry for WEEKS!
    The support is terrible.
Small price but it is even worthless.
    I don’t recomment the product.
Take it from someone that paid for it.
    Thank you
