Josep just let me know about the latest release from the Spanish company ITSOFT. They have just released an upgrade to their Beta application BBTrips that allows you to track your GPS location and then plot it on your computer using Google Earth. You can also have the application email you your log every hour or day. Pretty cool stuff for a free application.

What’s new?

• New UI,  much more clear to read and intuitive.
• Quick send your route file.
• Nicer vision in Google Earth, by default only trip notes are remarked.
• Battery optimization to reduce energy consumption.
• Battery level configurable to auto-disconnect GPS at BBTrips.
• Write comments and press enter key to mark a position.
• You can create a mark even if the BBTrips GPS option is OFF. The application will start it up and then will close when the data is ready.

What has been corrected?

• Only quality GPS data is kept in the file. No surprises!

The application even lets you track your route on BBmaps
