Version 6 Of MobiPocket eBook Reader Out Of Beta
Not quite sure what this means to us end users but the BlackBerry beta of Version 6 is now out of beta. I noticed this a few days ago and was reminded when I read a post on BlackBerryForums about it. MobiPocket has decided to follow in RIM’s footsteps by not releasing a changelog beyond the fact that it supports their online eBookstore for purchasing books from your phone. The funny part is that they have kept a good changelog for their beta but none for the full release.
Some people are reporting problems with the upgrade or version 6 in general so if your happy with your current version I would just stick with it. If you don’t have MobiPocket or must have the latest version like me you can pick it up from your BlackBerry at the following link:
Luckily MobiPocket is still free. It lets you read/purchase eBooks and it also lets you convert other documents and PDF’s so that you can take them on your BlackBerry.
