So if you are like me and too cheap to afford Music ID there is some hope for you naming that song.
Taptu.mobi is a new mobile search engine specializing in music search (songs, lyrics, artists, video and audio clips). Their tagline is “A new kind of search engine for mobile phones which allows you to search and find really useful content in 10 clicks or less”.
I tested this out by searching for Dream On by Aerosmith. In the first 5 returned results were the lyrics, images, album cover and much more about the song. From what I was reading on WapReview this engine uses some sort of socially assisted search index’s to do a better job than Google at finding the music you want. Just enter in a few words of the lyrics and search, you will be surprised how easy it truly is. Give it a spin at Taptu.mobi.
