T-Mobile Releases HotSpot@Home Service Nationwide
T-Mobile has finally released its HotSpot@Home service for two of their wifi enabled phones. For those who don’t know, HotSpot@Home allows you to make calls over wifi on the cheap when you are near a T-mobile HotSpot@Home router. They offer an unlimited nationwide plan for $9.99 a month. As of now they only offer the service with two compatible cellphones. The Nokia 6086 and Samsung T409, neither of which are smartphones.
This is hopefully a precursor of HotSpot@Home support coming to BlackBerry devices. I have been watching T-mobile closely on this new service especially since reception in my Manhattan apartment is shoddy even with AT&T. This will greatly help T-mobile in making up for spotty service in buildings and homes. I am hoping that T-mobile will release one of the upcoming wifi BlackBerry devices with HotSpot@Home support. Here is to wishing that T-mobile will provide a BlackBerry solution soon. Source: BoyGeniusReport
