BlackBerry India Director, Sameer Bhatia, announced a nice price cut on the BlackBerry Q5 device for the new year. He told the Economic Times that the Q5 is now Rs 19,990 in India down from Rs 24,990. They previously reduced the price of the Q10 and Z10 so this brings it in line. Here is what Bhatia had to say about the sale:
"The New Year Bonanza aims at providing a powerful mobile device, with cutting edge BlackBerry 10 OS at an affordable price point to the consumers,"
According to the Economic Times sources in India 27-30% of BlackBerry devices sold in India are BB10 devices…

Good move, though I would have dropped it down to at least 18,000.
