Rogers Quietly Launches The BB Curve 9300

banner04_9300gryr Overshadowed by all the BB Torch 9800 news and BlackBerry 6 announcement from yesterday the new BlackBerry 9300 was quietly launched by Rogers.  This is not a huge game changer but certainly a nice addition to the BlackBerry line. You can pick up this device from Rogers on a 3yr commitment for as low as $79.99 with no contract at $399.99.

Some specs for this device include a  2MP Camera, no flash, and a 256MB of Flash Memory, with a screen resolution of 320×240. If you are a current 8520 user this would be a nice upgrade because it supports 3G for faster data.   one thing to note is that RIM possibly forgot to issue a press release or completely forgot about the device since is not even listed on their website as of today. For more information visit Rogers official site.

Connectivity

GSM Bands: 850/900/1800/1900

HSPA Bands: 850/1900/2100

Network Speed (HSPA): 3.6 Mbps*

Wi-Fi: Yes: 802.11b/g/n

GPS: Yes

The question is are you planning on buying this device or going to wait for the 9800? We expect this device to hit the US market through T-mobile USA. We have not heard if this device will support BB 6, it be a bad decision if RIM does not support it because it could be a better selling point.
